Overview

DSM Energy focused on translating university-based perovskite solar-cell research into a scalable commercialization concept. The work connected materials development, slot-die and roll-to-roll manufacturing pathways, flexible module concepts, technical storytelling, funding strategy, and market-facing value proposition development.

My role

As a founding member, research scientist, and CMO, I supported technical planning, scalable manufacturing strategy, commercialization storytelling, stakeholder communication, and market-facing positioning for the startup.

Key outcomes

• Co-founded a solar-energy startup developing scalable perovskite photovoltaic materials and devices.
• Helped secure $200K in seed funding and DOE Perovskite Startup Prize semifinalist recognition.
• Supported slot-die and roll-to-roll deposition pathways for flexible module manufacturing.
